Iris Méndez

Journalist, teacher, mother

Passionate about communication and education, she firmly believes in the need to look at childhood with respect and deep admiration.

She holds a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid, a degree in Primary Education from the UCJC, a postgraduate degree in Emotional Intelligence from UNIR and a master’s degree in Conscious Education.

His professional career has always been linked to childhood. Ha trabajado en radio, en una agencia y ha formado parte del área de comunicación de una fundación internacional, donde implementó un proyecto de Educación para el Desarrollo (EpD) en más de 500
centros escolares de toda España.

Being in contact with so many different educational realities made her change her professional career to focus on the educational field. She trained in active methodologies, Reggio Emilia, free education, emotional education and Adlerian psychology. However, her greatest learning came when she became a mother, an adventure from which she continues to learn every day.

Currently, at Terra, Iris puts herself at the service of the children by managing the project’s communication and being part of the Primary pedagogical development team. Doing, every day, what she loves most: learning about childhood.
